About Mrs. Fitzgerald

I love to read.
I love books.
I love libraries.
And I love sharing that passion with students.
I firmly believe what James Patterson said about kids and books:

It is my job to help my students find the right book.

While this is my first year as a school librarian, I have either volunteered or subbed hundreds of hours in libraries:  church libraries, private school libraries, and public school libraries.  This is where I belong!

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from Texas Wesleyan University, my Master of Arts in Teaching from Dallas Baptist University, and will graduate in May 2015 with my Master of Science (Library Science) degree from the University of North Texas.  Whew!

Castleberry ISD is a fabulous place to be, to learn, to grow.  I can't wait to meet my students and teachers, to share my love of books and reading, and to help integrate technology into the library even more.
